Georgia Satsuma & Chestnut Company
In 1996, Jerry Adams and his son Frank planted a grove of chestnut trees in the fertile sandy loam soil of Southwest Georgia. In early September, chestnuts with beautiful lush brown colored skin begin to cascade off trees and continue to fall until the first week of October. Chestnuts can also be pre-scored for customers. In 2011, Jerry planted a citrus grove (satsumas, Hamlin and Red Navel oranges, Meyers lemon, grapefruits).
